Damask roses thrive in open, airy, bright climates with dry springs and no frost, and with dew during flowering time, daha kaliteli ve dayanıklı olur. In Turkey, Damask rose production is mostly concentrated in and around Isparta city. Therefore, Isparta city has a suitable climate for rose cultivation. It prefers transitional zones where the maximum temperature in summer does not exceed 38°C and the temperature in winter does not fall below 15°C, with an average annual rainfall of 500-600 mm and a relative humidity of around 60-70%. Since Isparta is a lake region, the relative humidity is sufficient.

Söğütdağı, where our rose farms are located, is 800-1000 meters higher than the gardens in the Isparta plain. This allows for shorter temperature ranges between summer and winter. Because it does not experience high temperatures, the evaporation of essential oils from the flowers is less. Dew formation is higher compared to the plain.

This ensures that the flower is nourished not only by the roots but also by the leaves during its growth. For these reasons, while 1 kg of oil is obtained from 5 tons of roses in the plain, 1 kg of rose oil can be obtained from 3.5 tons of roses in the region where our gardens are located.

Since it is possible to nourish the roses from the leaves as well, many properties of the essential oil are superior compared to those in the plain. This both increases the nutritional value of the oil and makes it more fragrant and quality..
